Recently I was contacted by a client who wanted a pair of shoes done in the "112" colorway. 112 was a pack designed for Nike by famed DJ Clark Kent which featured 3 shoes done in the same colorway: The Air Force One, Air Max 1, and Air Trainer 1:
One shoe that was not featured in the pack was the air max 90, which is the shoe that the client requested. The client even selected the base shoe they wanted used for the project: The Air Max 90s in Strata Grey & Gym Red:
Now this shoe features a good deal of mesh material, which at times can be difficult to work with. Still, I feel like I managed to pull it off with some dilligent work. The finished result was this:
Like mentioned before, the mesh areas were tricky to work with (especially on the tongue) but the end results came out great....even got an enthusiastic email from the client saying how much they loved them and already want another shoe done! It always makes me feel good to know that people appreciate the hard work that's put into every pair that comes from my workspace. :)
