Continuing my latest streak of comic book/super hero themed customs (check out the Batman Beyond kicks in the previous post), The newest pair is based on the newest addition to the CW TV lineup (aka The Arrowverse for my fellow comic nerds), one and only Supergirl.
I've had the idea to do a Supergirl theme ever since I did the Justice League Series back in March, so now i'm finally getting around to doing these. BTW, i'm calling these version 1.0 because I do plan on doing another pair in the future with a totally different look from these.
The original base shoe was a pair of basic white Nike Air Force 1s:
And here is the finished result:
The tongue features Kryptonian writing and actually spells out her Kryptonian name Kara Zor-El ("Kara" on the right shoe, "Zor-El" on the left). Check out the alphabet chart below and decipher for yourself:
