Deadpool themed customs are always fun to do. It's a popular design and I seem to always get opportunities to do different takes on the theme. This pair would be my 3rd take so far (click for my first and second takes) and it's always fun having each pair look totally different from each other while still highlighting the character.
These were actually made for the same client who ordered the desert camouflage Air Max 1s seen in the previous post. The client wanted the shoes mostly black (70/30 ratio of black and red) and on a pair of Jordan 5s. So once I found the perfect base shoe I was ready to get started.
Here is the base shoe: Jordan 5 "White Cement":
And here is the finished product:
Note: the original shoe has a 3M reflector tongue so I decided to leave that effect in and only change the Jumpman, which is now a rendition of Deadpool (same for the Jumpman on the back). Speaking of which, the Jumpman on the box was made up to look like Deadpool as well:
